Taking Ownership of Administrative or Service Accounts

  1. Log in to the Active Directory Administration Tools.

  2. Click Take Ownership on the left.

  3. Select the user's OU from the Select a Departmental OU drop-down.

  4. Select the user in the Select a User list.

  5. Click Take Ownership.
