Setting Wi-Fi as the Preferred Connection Type
By default, your BlackBerry will use your cellular connection to download data. If you do not have an unlimited data plan, this can lead to additional fees.
Using Wi-Fi as your default Internet connection will provide faster download rates when you are in range of a wireless access point while reducing the odds that you will be charged additional download fees.
Select Options from the Home screen.
Select Mobile Network.
Select Connection Preference, and choose Wi-Fi Preferred.
