As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Removing Super User Status

"Super user" status allows an individual to add and remove services, as well as change quotas, on their departmental account. If you do not wish an individual to have these privileges, you can remove them.

  1. Log on to the Technical Resource Account Control page (UT EID required).

  2. Select Group List, then select the Group Name containing the user you wish to remove from "Super User" status.

  3. Select the name of the user.

  4. Click the Yes button next to Remove Super User Status from this user.

Note: You will see a confirmation that the status was removed.

To remove "Super User" status from all the users in your group:

  1. Select Group List, then select the Group Name you want to remove from "Super User" status.

    Note: When you remove Super User status for all users in your group, they will no longer be able to add, remove, or change quotas themselves.

  2. Select Edit Group on the navigation bar, then deselect the Set Super Users by Default option.

  3. Click on the Update Group button.

Note: You will see a message at the top of the page confirming your update.
