Purpose of UT Direct Notifications
Messages should relate to official University business that affects individual students or employees. The system is intended for timely, personalized notices, not group distributions. Information destined for an official academic record, such as final grades, should not be sent via UT Direct notifications. Examples of appropriate use:
A notice that library books or library fines are overdue.
A notice that a parking ticket resolution deadline is nearing.
A notice concerning an academic issue with a student.
A concern about the use of leave with a staff member.
