Android Setup for UTmail
Android provides built-in support for Google Apps with push email.
To receive email from your UTmail account using the built-in Gmail app:
- Create a UTmail account
if you haven't already. On your Android device, open the Settings menu.
Open Accounts & sync.
Select the Add account button.
Select Google.
- On the Adding an account screen, select Next.
- Select Sign in.
Enter your full UTmail email address and password, then select Sign in.
Upon a successful login, select which data to synchronize (Contacts and Gmail recommended) and select Sync now.
To access your UTmail account using the native Gmail app, open the Gmail app that comes on your Android device.
To receive email from your UTmail account using the Web:
- With your Android, visit http://mail.google.com/a/utexas.edu.
- Log in with your UTmail email address (do not include @utexas.edu) and password.
