What types of computers are compatible with SecureDoc?
WinMagic's Minimum System Requirements for installing SecureDoc v4.9 clients are as follows:
- Intel/AMD/Cyrix/other compatible CPU architecture (1 GHz or better)
- 128 MB RAM (minimum)
- 128 MB free space available
Operating Systems:
- Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Microsoft Windows Vista, SP1 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Home Edition, SP2 and 3 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Macintosh OS X version 10.6.4 and earlier
- Linux OS (select 32 bit distributions only)

Windows
- Intel/AMD/Cyrix/other compatible architectures (1 GHz or better)
- 512 MB RAM (minimum)
- 500 MB free space available
Supported OS versions
- XP SP2&3 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Vista (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit)
- Server 2003
Note: PC laptops of Dell Latitude D620 class and up with 2GB of RAM installed exhibit acceptable performance characteristics with Windows operating systems when encrypted and are recommended for use with SecureDoc.
Macintosh
- Intel Processor ONLY
- 128 MB of RAM over and above OS requirements
- 128 MB of free space for software installation
Supported Mac OS X versions
- 10.4.9 to 10.6.4
Note: MacBook Pro version 1.1 and up with 2GB of RAM installed exhibit acceptable performance characteristics with Mac OS X operating systems when encrypted and are recommended for use with SecureDoc.
Linux

- 256 MB RAM (minimum)
- 128 MB free space available
