Enterprise Whole Disk Encryption
Apple's Time Capsule
Due to the over-the-network nature of Apple's Time Capsule, disk encryption for these devices is not supported by SecureDoc. Although the Time Capsule volume may look like a locally mounted drive on your Mac, attempting to encrypt the volume with SecureDoc will cause the device to fail and may require that you re-initialize the disk.
It is still possible to back up a SecureDoc encrypted machine with Time Capsule, but the backup itself will not be encrypted.
Note: Time Capsules do not meet the minimum security standards for Category-I data because they do not encrypt the data in transit, nor at rest.
