Which Calling Option Should You Use?

The six-digit Long Distance Authorization Code is used ON CAMPUS for placing domestic and international calls.

The nine-digit Authorization Code is used OFF CAMPUS for placing domestic calls. International calls cannot be placed with this code.

The Calling Card is used for placing domestic and international calls from OFF CAMPUS.

Domestic Rates:

a) Interstate 1.7¢
b) Intrastate 2.36¢
2) 800 DISA call* 10¢

*For example, using our 1-800 access from outside the local Austin area to call another location outside the local Austin area.

Calling Cards

Rates vary by country of origination and termination. Calls originating in the United States incur a $.75 set up charge. A $2.50 set up charge is applied to calls originating in a foreign country.

Toll-free Services

Departments may choose from Texas-only, the 48 contiguous states, United States and Puerto Rico, or United States and Canada. Vanity numbers (seven digits only) may be requested. Rates vary based on call origination, but do not exceed $.09 per minute. Toll-free calls originating from pay phones incur an additional $.55 fee per call.
