Choosing From Different Email Addresses
UT Lists is flexible, so you should use whichever email address you want. Just be sure that you can log on and check the email account you decide to use.
The email address that works best is the one your mail reader puts in the From: line of your messages. (Try sending a message to yourself, and look at the From: line to see which address the message is actually being sent from.) Using this email address ensures that any restricted lists that you subscribe to will work properly.
Note: If you want to create or own a list, you should use an email address that ends in .utexas.edu.
