The University of Texas at Austin
As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Using "Green Output" for Mainframe Reports

"Green Output" is an alternative to printing hard copies of mainframe reports. You can have mainframe reports and documents delivered electronically as .pdf, .xls, .csv, or .txt files to your Austin Disk account instead of printing reams of paper. In addition to being an environmentally friendly printing option, having electronic documents allows you to search, edit, and share them easily.

Setting Up Green Output

  1. Have one of your department contacts activate your mainframe account for Green Output.

  2. The next time you submit a print job, a folder named eReports will be automatically created and configured in Austin Disk. All of your mainframe print jobs will then be routed to your eReports folder. You will receive email notifications when your jobs are ready to view.

For detailed instruction please see: Setting Up and Accessing Green Output (Default eReports Folder)

Note: Green Output makes use of the email address associated with your EID for sending delivery notifications.
