Adding and Removing Secondary Email Addresses to an AEMS Account

  1. Log in to Computer Account Services.
  2. Go to Windows Services and click on the View/Modify button for Austin Exchange Mailbox.
  3. Click on Add/Remove Mail Address.

Adding a secondary email address

  1. Under Add New Mail address enter your new address and select the desired email ending from the pull-down menu. If you cannot find the desired domain name for your department, please contact your Technical Support Contact (TSC) for assistance.
  2. Click on Add Address.
  3. You will see a note at the top of the window saying Successful completion.

Note: If you would like to make the new address your primary address (where email is sent from), select it from the list of Secondary Addresses and hit “Set as Primary Address

Removing a secondary email address account

Please follow the directions below to remove secondary addresses from your AEMS account. If you would like to remove your primary address, you must promote another address as your primary. If you need to add an address, follow the directions for Adding a secondary email address above.

Note: AEMS accounts require one @austin.utexas.edu address at all times. If you are deleting an @austin.utexas.edu address, please follow the above directions to make sure you have another address to replace it.

  1. Under Secondary Mail Addresses, select the address to be deleted and click Delete Address.
  2. You will see a note at the top of the window saying Successful completion.
