Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies on AEMS
Based on campus feedback, the default Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync configuration is being removed during the regularly scheduled maintenance for the Austin Exchange Messaging Service (AEMS) on October 21, 2012. With this removal, AEMS will no longer be able to remotely wipe/configure connecting devices, however those devices will still be able to sync their email and calendars. AEMS customers wishing to continue utilizing the default configuration (to enable remote wipe/configuration) may do so on a per user basis, see http://www.utexas.edu/its/help/messaging/1897.
