Application: Apple OS X Mail
Setting Up Apple OS X Mail for Austin Exchange Messaging Service
Open Mail.
If you see a Welcome screen, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, from the File menu, select Add Account.
In the Full Name field, enter your name.
Enter your Austin Exchange Messaging Service (AEMS) email address, e.g., username@austin.utexas.edu, where username is your AEMS user name.
In the Password field, enter your UT EID password.
Click Continue.
If your AEMS mailbox name and your UT EID are not the same, you will be prompted to correct your User name. Change the User name to your UT EID and click Create or Continue.
Mail will find a server account and set up the account accordingly.
You may also select Address Book contacts and iCal calendars to configure those applications for Austin Exchange if desired.
Note: Setting up Address Book contacts and iCal calendars will not overwrite your existing contacts or calendars. A new contact list and calendar will be created for you.
Click Create. At this point, Mail will synchronize with the AEMS servers. Depending on the size of your mailbox, this process may take a few minutes to complete.
