Sharing Folders
- Application: Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010, 2011
You can share Austin Exchange Messaging Service (AEMS) information, such as email folders and calendar entries, with other AEMS users. If you need someone to send emails, meeting requests, and meeting acceptances for you, you must make that person a delegate. Complete the following steps in Outlook to share folders with other AEMS users.
Outlook 2007
Right-click the folder you want to share, such as Inbox or Calendar, and select Change Sharing Permissions.
Click the Add button and select the person you want to share the folder with.
Click the OK button.
Modify the permissions as necessary and click OK.
Outlook 2010
Right-click the folder you want to share, such as Inbox or Calendar. Select Properties, then select the Permissions tab. If you need to share your Calendar, right-click Calendar, select Share, then Calendar Permissions.
Click the Add button and select the person you want to share the folder with.
Click the OK button.
Modify the permissions as necessary and click OK.
Outlook 2011
Right-click (press Ctrl and click) the folder you want to share, such as Inbox or Calendar, and select Sharing Permissions.
In Folder Permissions, select the Permissions tab.
Click the Add User button and in the Select User window, type the user's email address or select the user from the address book.
Select the newly added user and assign permissions as necessary and click OK.
