Viewing Shared Calendars (Outlook Web App)
Operating System: Windows and Mac OS X
Application: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari
If someone has granted you permission to view their calendar, complete the following steps to view their calendar in Outlook Web App (OWA):
Open a Web browser and log in to OWA
.Click on your name in the top right corner.
In the field that appears, type the name of the person whose calendar you wish to see, then click Open... You should now be able to view the shared calendar.
If you do not have permission to view someone's calendar or you do not want to open their calendar, you can view just their availability in OWA:
Log in to OWA
in Internet Explorer 6 or later, as this feature only works with this browser. Note: Do NOT select the "Use the light version of Outlook Web App" option. You cannot view someone else's calendar or availability if you use Outlook Web App Light.
Enter the person's user name in the field next to Options in the upper right corner and click Enter. You will need to allow pop-ups in OWA if you have the pop-up blocker enabled.
You should now be able to view the person's account information and availability.
You can also access another person's calendar by copying and pasting the following URL into the Internet Explorer address bar:
Note: Replace user@emailaddress.com in the URL with the email address of the user whose calendar you want to view. For example, to view jdoe@austin.utexas.edu's calendar, the URL would be: "https://wmail.austin.utexas.edu/owa/jdoe@austin.utexas.edu/?cmd=contents&module=calendar".
