Integrating With Our Identity Provider
This document is provided to give system administrators an overview of the tasks required in order to integrate your SAML Service Provider with The University of Texas at Austin’s SAML Identity Provider.
Requesting Access
- The Service Provider must be sponsored by an official University of Texas entity.
- The sponsor and Service Provider should fill out the Request for Shibboleth Access form.
- The sponsor should also fill out the Acceptable Use Policy for Shibboleth form.
These forms along with any questions should be sent to the Shibboleth Team at 
shibboleth@utlists.utexas.edu. The Shibboleth Team will work directly with the Service Provider to setup and test the integration between the Service Provider and Identity Provider.
Available User Attributes
A list of potential attributes that can be sent to a service provider can be found by looking at the Person Attributes section of the TED Directory Schema and Data Attributes page.
Testing Your SAML Service Provider Installation
If you would like to test your Service Provider before integrating with The University of Texas at Austin, testshib.org provides an Identity Provider to test against. Follow the instructions to test your Service Provider installation. Please note that this will only work for hosts that have publicly routable IP addresses.
