Short Links Service

Using the Service

  1. Copy the URL you want to shorten.

  2. Open your Web browser and go to http://links.utexas.edu.

  3. Paste the URL you want to shorten in the URL field.

  4. If you want to track how many people are using your shortened URL, select the Track Usage box.

  5. If you do not want to present users of your shortened URL with a splash screen, clear the Use Splash Screen box.

  6. Click Create.

The Short Links service will return a shortened URL, which you can copy and paste as needed.
