Connecting to Austin Disk Services Through WebDAV in Mac OS X 10.4.8 or Later

Note: The WebDAV protocol limits file transfers to 2 GB in size. If you need to transfer files larger than 2 GB, please use the instructions for secure file transfer protocol (SFTP).

Connecting to Austin Disk Service via WebDAV

  1. In the Finder, open the Go menu, and then select Connect to Server.

  2. In the Server Address field, enter the following URL, with your UT EID at the end of the line: "https://webdav.austin.utexas.edu/eid"

    Note: If you are using a departmental share, enter the following path instead, replacing sharename with the name of your departmental share: "https://webdav.austin.utexas.edu/sharename"

  3. Select Connect.

  4. When prompted for your user name and password, enter your UT EID and password.

  5. When you have finished working with your files, select the Eject button to terminate the connection.
