As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

Custom Calling Features (CCF): Directed Call Pickup (DCPU)

DIRECTED CALL PICKUP allows you to answer a phone that is ringing, even if it is not a part of your CALL PICKUP group. See Call Pickup.

What You Do What You Hear
You hear ringing from another phone:
1) Pick up the handset. Dial Tone
2) Dial the activation code "66". Stutter Dial Tone
3) Dial phone number on which call will be parked. Confirmation Tone


  • SPEED CALL codes can be used to dial the station number of the telephone you wish to answer. (See SPEED CALLING.) After programming, use DIRECTED CALL PICKUP by dialing your speed dial code.

  • DIRECTED CALL PICKUP cannot be used to answer RING AGAIN recalls.
