Making Calls (Long Distance): University Authorization Codes, International Calls
It is possible to dial international station-to-station calls using your university authorization code. However, this capability will be assigned to individual authorization codes by departmental request only.
|What You Do||What You Hear|
|1) Lift the handset from the cradle.||Dial Tone|
|2) Dial "8".||Stutter Dial Tone|
|3) At the stutter dial tone, dial your long distance authorization code.||Second Dial Tone|
|4) After second dial tone begins, dial "011" + country code + city code + local number. If you are using a touchtone telephone, dial "#" to eliminate a ten-second wait.||Ringing|
International person-to-person calls require a long distance calling card and operator assistance.
