Which of the outlets is for the telephone and which is for my computer?
Telephone outlets are narrower and have a 4-pin jack. Ethernet outlets for your computer are wider and consist of an 8-pin jack.
When telephone and Ethernet jacks are combined in a single unit, telephone jacks are generally placed on the top with Ethernet jacks on the bottom. If in doubt, please consult your ITS representative at 512-471-5711 before connecting devices to an unknown jack.
