Managing E-Mail Messages
Here are some tips for managing your e-mail messages, which can make it easier to access and organize your Inbox.
Create additional folders to organize and store your messages. Having a large number of messages stored in the Inbox can slow down Webmail's response time. Click the Folders icon at the top of the Mail pages to display a list of current folders and the Folder Navigator. You can create, rename, empty, and delete folders, and mark all messages in a folder as read. Use the pulldown menu in the upper right corner to switch from one folder to another.
Deleting your e-mail messages does not automatically remove them from the mail server. To ensure you stay within your mailbox size quota, purge your deleted messages regularly.
You can read your messages in either flat or threaded formats.
You can filter your messages. This is useful if you want to automatically organize e-mail messages from a specific recipient or about a specific subject.
You can manage your folder subscriptions to public or private IMAP folders.
Use the Address Book to organize the e-mail addresses for your contacts. You can add addresses manually or import them from a file.
