Getting Started: Logging on to Webmail

Complete the following steps to log on to Webmail:

  1. From a Web browser, go to the Webmail login page (https://webmail.utexas.edu).

  2. From the Server pull-down menu, select the IMAP server for your email account. For example, if you have a UMBS (mail.utexas.edu) account, select the mail.utexas.edu server.

  3. Enter your email account username and password.

  4. If you are accessing Webmail off-campus from a domain that is not on the following list, the login screen will also require you to enter your UT EID and password:

    • *.utexas.edu

    • *.austin.res.rr.com

    • *.austtx.swbell.net

    • *.austtx.sbcglobal.net

  5. Click the Log in button. For successful logins, the Webmail welcome page displays.
