Using a Ticket to Share Files and Folders With Non-WebSpace Users
You can share files on a limited basis with individuals who are not current UT Austin students, faculty, or staff by using WebSpace tickets. Using tickets is one method of sharing WebSpace files and folders in which a temporary link to the file is created and distributed via email.
- Navigate to and select the file or folder you would like to share.
Click Manage, then select Tickets to open the ticket management page.

To the right, click New Ticket.

A pop-up window will display with options to configure your new ticket. Use these options to determine the security and duration of your ticket.

Click OK to create your ticket.
A link to your new ticket will appear in the window. To share your ticket, copy and paste the Ticket Link, or click Email. Clicking Email will open your default email client with a preset message that includes your ticket link. Enter the email addresses of your recipients in the To field and click Send.

If you need to make changes to an existing ticket, follow steps 1-2, then click Edit. You may also modify access levels by managing permissions.
