Sharing Files and Folders in WebSpace
Select the file or folder you want to share, and then select Share.
Enter the email address of the person you want to share your file or folder with. If you want to share the file or folder with multiple people, enter their email addresses separated by commas or semicolons. Click Next.
Set the permissions you want to give the person you are sharing with. You can also manage permissions later if necessary.
When sharing with other WebSpace users, you may choose to grant Viewer, Contributor, or Full Access access.
When sharing with non-WebSpace users, you create a ticket that grants either Viewer or Contributor permissions for 30 days.
Note: If the person you want to share a WebSpace file with is a student who has chosen to restrict his/her name, email address, or UT EID information through the Registrar's Restrict My Info tool, you will only be able to create a ticket for them to view your shared items. This method does not allow full access permissions, and will only grant access for a limited period of time.
Configure the outgoing message to your recipient(s).
WebSpace automatically sends email notifications to everyone you are sharing the file with. If you do not want people to receive an email notification, make sure the Send the below email when I click Finish is not selected.
If you want to customize the notification email, enter your changes in the Subject field and/or the message text area.
If you would like to receive a copy of the notification email, make sure the Also send the email to me check box is selected.
