Why do .DS_Store files appear in the WebSpace document manager?
Desktop Service Store (.DS_Store) files are created when you connect to WebSpace via WebDAV on Mac OS X.
The Mac OS X operating system creates these files in every folder you open, including those on network drives like WebSpace. The files contain information related to Spotlight indexing, icon position, Finder window position, and more.
Apple has provided a support that details how to disable the creation of .DS_Store files on network drives.
