Synchronizing your Address Book with Exchange and Adding the UT Directory (Mac)

You can synchronize a contact group in Address Book with your contacts list on the Exchange Server. This process will also add a contact group which to your Address Book that allows you to search the UT Directory.

  1. Open Address Book.
  2. From the File menu, select Preferences.
  3. Select the Accounts tab.
  4. Click the + icon to add an account.
  5. From the Account type menu, select Exchange 2007.
  6. In the Full name field, enter your name.
  7. In the Email address field, enter your AEMS e-mail address.
  8. In the Password field, enter your UT EID password.
  9. Click Create.
  10. If your AEMS mailbox name and your UT EID are not the same, you will be prompted to correct your User name. Change the User name to your UT EID and click Create.
  11. After your account has been found, you have the option to import your Exchange mail into the Mail application and your Exchange calendar into the iCal application.

    NOTE: Setting up Mail and iCal calendars will not overwrite your existing mail or calendars. A new mailbox and calendar will be created for you.
     
  12. Click Create.

    NOTE: At this point, Address Book will synchronize with the AEMS servers. Depending on the size of your contacts list, this process may take a few minutes to complete.
