Why won't Apple Remote applications work on the campus wireless network?
Wireless remote applications, such as Apple’s Remote application that controls iTunes and Apple TV via an iPhone or iPod touch, will not work on campus. Other applications, such as remote controls for slideshow presentations, are similarly affected. These applications require multicast, which is not supported on the campus wireless network due to scaling issues. Refer to the software vendor’s documentation for possible workarounds.
