Standard Configurations Lead to Better Pricing

Information Technology Services (ITS) recently announced to campus that improved Dell laptop and desktop configurations are now available from the Dell Premier Homepage. This was achieved by a cross-campus group defining more relevant hardware configurations resulting in better pricing from Dell. Savings are significant: 26%-30% lower for desktops and approximately 18% for laptops. Similar efforts to offer standard configurations and cost-savings from other vendors are currently underway.
