ITS Incident Communications Policy Updated

Important updates have been made to the Information Technology Services (ITS) incident communications policy. During the lessons learned session after the campus power outage at the end of 2010, an action item was to identify ITS incident coordinators and their backups during specific types of incidents. The scenarios and incident coordinators have now been defined and this material has been added to the ITS incident communication policy. Selected staff members will serve as the primary point of contact for ITS during an event.
For those interested in learning more about the incident communication policy, a new web page shows the communication process for planned maintenance, unplanned maintenance and service interruptions. Customers are encouraged to submit ideas and suggestions for improvement following any incident or outage.
