ITS Rate Review Process Update

Information Technology Services (ITS) is working with the University Controller’s Office to conduct rate reviews for ITS services and vet any proposed adjustments through the IT governance committees.
The current status of this rate review process is:
Completed:
Printing Services
- Current: 6 cents, single-sided, B&W; 50 cents, single-sided, color
- Previous: 9 cents, single-sided, B&W; 80 cents, single-sided, color
Resnet: Residence Hall Network
- Current: 5 GB included in room rate
- Previous: 4 GB $180 per year
Data Center Co-location Services
- Current: Based on device power capacity - [Device Power Capacity (Watts) x .75] x $1.70
- Previous: No consistent rate
Virtual Servers
- Current: $300/year
- Previous: $700+/year
Rates Eliminated:
- MySQL
- Microsoft SQL Server
Rate Review in Process:
- Managed Desktop and Laptop Support
- ID Center
- Labor Rates for Telephone Service; Building Security System Services; Cabling; Demolition of Existing Cabling; Construction engineering, design and planning
- Contract Software and Web Development
- Computer and Printer Repair
- Managed Server Support
- Data Storage rates will be refreshed this summer to reflect the new massive data storage procurement
- Telephone rates will be reviewed in Fiscal Year 2011/2012
