Exploring Wireless Network Capabilities through T-Mobile HotSpot @Home Pilot
Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to announce that a six-month pilot test of T-Mobile's HotSpot @Home service will be running on campus from March 1 to August 15, 2008.
To participate in the pilot, you must be a T-Mobile customer with a Wi-Fi capable phone and a T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service subscription. Once you configure your phone to connect to the guest.utexas.edu wireless network, you should be able to use the campus wireless network to conduct all of your phone`s services.
If you participate in the pilot, we`d like to hear from you! Please leave feedback in our short online survey.
For more information on T-Mobile`s HotSpot @Home service, refer to the ITS T-Mobile HotSpot pilot site.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact T-Mobile customer service directly from your phone by dialing 611.
Note: This service is being provided as a pilot program ONLY. The T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service will NOT be available on campus after August 15, 2008. The University of Texas at Austin does not endorse or recommend the T-Mobile HotSpot @Home service but is investigating the use of the campus wireless infrastructure in providing these types of services.
