New ITS Systems Director Announced

Brad Englert, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Information Technology Services (ITS), announced that Trice Humpert has accepted the position as Director, ITS Systems. His first day in this role will be Monday, April 14, 2014.

Trice brings extensive experience as a senior information technology executive at International Paper (formerly Temple Inland Inc. & Guaranty Bank). He has provided strategic and operational leadership for the implementation of IT shared services, automated IT service provisioning using Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), and data and infrastructure migrations. In addition, he has been responsible for operational teams supporting virtual servers, data storage, database administration, enterprise management, application administration and operating systems for a very large, diverse organization.

Trice has degrees in finance and computer science, and certifications as a Project Management Professional and in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). His track record includes working with both internal and external suppliers to deliver high performance IT services, mission critical infrastructures, systems and projects. Trice’s leadership skills and professional experience will help UT Austin continue to improve IT infrastructure support for the campus.
