Computer Repair Service Moves to Campus Computer Store

The computer repair service previously offered by Information Technology Services (ITS) will move to the Campus Computer Store beginning Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
Located on the first floor of the Flawn Academic Center (FAC), the Campus Computer Store offers certified technicians who can handle both Dell and Apple warranty requests. The Campus Computer Store can also handle direct departmental billing. The cost of the service will depend on the parts and services needed, and what repairs are covered under warranty.
The decision to make this move was based on communications with customers, an assessment of duplicate service offerings on campus and a cost analysis of providing the service. The proposal to retire the computer repair service was vetted and approved by IT governance. ITS will continue to offer the printer repair service.
