Central Data Storage Project Update

On Friday, April 22, 2011, the Data Storage proposal review team held a kickoff meeting. Each of the eight, viable respondents to the Data Storage Request for Proposal (RFP) provided information on different configurations for new, lower cost massive data storage capability for the university. The proposal review team - made up of members of the campus-wide data storage steering committee and the technical project team – plan to have a formal recommendation for this mission-critical capital investment by the next steering committee meeting on June 3, 2011.

This RFP is part of the Central Storage project, an initiative to enable Information Technology Services to cost-effectively meet campus storage needs over the next 3 to 5 years.
