Recognizing ITS Student Employees

To celebrate National Student Employment Week 2011, the Division of Student Affairs and Human Resource Services partnered to sponsor activities recognizing the contributions of student employees across campus. Festivities included a luncheon to honor all students nominated for the Student Employee of the Year Award. Out of over 10,000 student employees, there were 78 students nominated as outstanding employees.
Congratulations to Eric Hofstetter and Frank Mata from the Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk who were honored at the event for their enthusiasm, dedication, initiative and customer service!
ITS held its own pizza party in honor of the 82 student employees who work throughout the organization. During the party, recognition and kudos were shared:
- John Lovelace, Project Manager for the Student Email project, thanked everyone for their outstanding help in launching and supporting UTmail.
- Mark Jacaman, leader of User Services, conveyed thanks and kudos for the students' dedicated work on behalf of the campus. Mark also shared highlights from the “Student Employee of the Year Award” nominations for ITS Help Deskers Eric Hofstetter and Frank Mata.
- Kevin Hegarty, Chief Financial Officer, wrapped things up by saying “We couldn’t do it without you!”
