Information Technology Services (ITS) is now offering online sessions to practice using the university's new Web conferencing tool, Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional. These sessions are perfect for faculty members who are considering presenting course materials online, or who would like to collaborate with their colleagues without traveling. Staff members who would like to conduct presentations or meetings online should also attend.
In these sessions, you will learn how to:
- Test your computer and audio setup
- Practice being a meeting participant, presenter, and host
- Explore features for collaboration and virtual meetings
- Learn best practices for managing meetings
You can attend these sessions from your own computer. You'll need an Internet connection and speakers to hear the presentation. A microphone is also strongly recommended so you can chat with other meeting participants. A Web camera is useful if you want other participants to see you, but not necessary.
To attend an Acrobat Connect Practice Session, sign up using TXClass TX205. The following dates and times are available:
- July 17, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
