Bandwidth on Campus
Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to announce Public Network Access (PNA) bandwidth upgrades for the 2011-2012 academic year. As a result of these upgrades, many services have seen an increase in bandwidth while prices have remained the same or lower than before.
Your Bandwidth Allocation
On campus, bandwidth refers to the amount of data that you upload or download from the Internet to your computer when connected to the university's wired or wireless network (restricted.utexas.edu). All students, faculty, staff, and official visitors receive a certain amount of bandwidth each week at no cost.

Extra Bandwidth for Official Use
Faculty and staff who need extra bandwidth for official university business can request extra Project Bandwidth. This option is funded by your department or grant and requires a university account.
