Information Security Office Risk Assessment (ISORA) 2011

On Tuesday, August 2, 2011, the annual Information Security Office Risk Assessment (ISORA) process begins. As required by Texas state law, the ISORA application collects, analyzes and reports on specific data related to information security on campus. Gathering the necessary data requires participation from campus-wide technical support contacts (TSCs) to help collect the information and department heads to acknowledge the results after the online surveys are complete.
On Wednesday, August 3, 2011, the Information Security Office (ISO) is holding an information session in Burdine Hall, Room 106 from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. The session will include a review of the ISORA process, highlighting many of the new features added to ISORA and Net.Contacts based on feedback from user forums held earlier this year. There will also be time for questions.
TSCs are encouraged to update their unit's system inventory in Net.Contacts prior to beginning the risk assessment. Doing so can save a significant amount of time during the ISORA process.
