Beginning October 7, 2009, electrical rennovations in the Flawn Academic Center (FAC) will make power outlets unavailable in the following spaces for the next 3-to-6 months.
- First Floor Reading Room (including printers)
- First Floor Lobby
- First Floor Kiosk Computer Stations
The Reading Room and Lobby will continue to operate as lounge and collaborative spaces while the electrical work takes place.
To accommodate students who need access to computers or power outlets for their laptops, the Student Microcomputing Facility (SMF) computer lab on the second floor will be operating with extended hours. Other West Mall study spaces include the Architecture and Life Sciences Libraries, as well as The Texas Union.
Please note that this work affects only the above spaces. The remainder of the FAC and all other first floor facilities remain open and operating with normal hours, including the Campus Computer Store, ID Center, Laptop Checkout, ITS Help Desk and Information Desk.
