Office 365 2015 Migration Project Charter

In February 2015, the Architecture and Infrastructure Committee (AIC) approved the Office 365 2015 Migration Project Charter. This charter was built upon the calendaring and email strategy recommendations created by the AIC Calendaring and Email Subcommittee and endorsed by AIC in December 2014. The decision to pursue a strategy of a single cloud-based platform for email and calendaring for business class users across the University of Texas at Austin cleared the path to restart large scale migrations from on-premise AEMS to Office 365 for those departments that are interested in doing so. After almost a year of research, interviews, surveys and deliberation, the Architecture and Infrastructure Committee (AIC) approved the email and calendaring strategy recommended by the AIC subcommittee, to pursue a strategy of a single cloud-based platform for email and calendaring for business class users across the University of Texas at Austin, in order to deliver the functional requirements desired and needed by those users.
