Forefront Client Security
Forefront Client
The Forefront Client is deployed to individual machines. It can be distributed in a managed environment, or it can be installed as an unmanaged installation (with the NOMOM switch set). The software on BevoWare is set up to work in an unmanaged environment.
FCS Management Console
The management console allows staff to control the distribution and updates of Forefront software and anti-virus/malware definition files in a controlled fashion. It can be installed to work with just the Windows Sofwtare Update Server (WSUS) to receive software updates, or it can also be configured to work with configuration management tools, such as SCCM, LanDesk, and others.

Forefront for Exchange provides anti-virus and malware scanning in an Exchange environment.

Forefront for Exchange provides anti-virus and malware scanning in an SharePoint environment.
Forefront Server Security Console
The Forefront Server Security Console is a tool used to manage the Forefront for Exchange when that product is installed on a multi-server Exchange or SharePoint environment. This situation is rare at UT.
