Online Discussion Forum
The Campus Anti-Virus Replacement Project Forum has been established for campus technical staff to discuss issues surrounding the transition from Symantec to ClamXav and Microsoft Forefront. During past campus-wide projects, e-mail lists have typically been used. The discussion forum allows us to have persistent, easily searchable information without flooding everyone's e-mail inbox.
Here is some information about how it works:
- EID login is required. When you log in the first time, your account is created automatically.
- You can modify your user information by selecting the Profile and Control Panel links.
- Because the forum is behind EID login, it will not be searchable by Google or other external search engines.
- The forum is not moderated, so posts will show up immediately.
- ITS reserves the right to moderate posts.
- ITS technical staff are notified of new posts and will provide as much information as possible, based on what we know at the time.
- Content may be moved to the project site. ITS will ask permission to use content from staff in non-ITS departments and colleges.
- The discussion forum is intended for the life of the project and may be removed or modified at the end of the project.

The forum uses the Expression Engine content management system Discussion Forum module.
