Template letter for managed customers
System administrators may want to notify their customers about the upcoming changes to anti-virus software on campus and how their changes will be managed. Below is a sample letter sent by ITS to our customers.
Dear ,
As you may know, the university is replacing the Symantec security software suite offered to campus by September 23, 2009. ITS User Services is focused on minimizing the disruption to our desktop support customers this transition may cause. We are currently developing the general conversion plan, and the exact schedule for each site will be established between you and your account manager. Your account manager will be in touch two weeks prior to work beginning with specific details for your site.
Although ITS will be communicating extensively with the entire campus about this change, any changes that affect your site will be communicated through your account manager.
