What is the Apple Maintenance Program?

Apple Maintenance Program (AMP) is an Operating System Subscription Program for Macintosh computers owned by The University of Texas at Austin or UT Austin faculty and staff. The subscription program covers software maintenance. As long as you have an active subscription, you will receive future upgrades for the Mac OS.

Contract Period

Apple AMP is a three year contract that runs through March 31, 2011. At the conclusion of the current three year contract you will have a perpetual license but you will need to remain part of a program such as AMP to continue to get updates/upgrades.

Year One = March 31, 2008 - March 31, 2009
Year Two = March 31, 2009 - March 31, 2010
Year Three =March 31, 2010 - March 31, 2011

What is the Cost?

The subscription rate is $22 per Mac per year.

Additional media charges may apply (media cost is normally $34).
