MagicDraw by No Magic is a powerful visual UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling and CASE tool with teamwork support. It can be used to accomplish a wide variety of tasks and it is based in Java so it will work on nearly any system running the latest Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

Using this tool, you can:

  • Edit UML
  • Engineer code for popular languages including Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), C#, C++, .NET, etc.
  • Analyze or generate object models for Object-Oriented Programming Languages
  • Analyze and/or generate database schema for any JDBC-compatible database

Cost and Eligibility

UT Austin faculty and staff may use MagicDraw on University-owned computers. Faculty and Staff at other UT System schools should check to see if their campus is participating in this program. See Licensing Info for more information.

System Requirements

MagicDraw is a Java-based application that should run on any system that supports Java 1.4 and 1.5. Supported operating systems include Windows (98 or later), Mac OS X, UNIX (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX), and Linux.
