MagicDraw by No Magic is a powerful visual UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling and CASE tool with teamwork support. It can be used to accomplish a wide variety of tasks and it is based in Java so it will work on nearly any system running the latest Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
Using this tool, you can:
- Edit UML
- Engineer code for popular languages including Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), C#, C++, .NET, etc.
- Analyze or generate object models for Object-Oriented Programming Languages
- Analyze and/or generate database schema for any JDBC-compatible database

Cost and Eligibility
UT Austin faculty and staff may use MagicDraw on University-owned computers. Faculty and Staff at other UT System schools should check to see if their campus is participating in this program. See Licensing Info for more information.
MagicDraw is a Java-based application that should run on any system that supports Java 1.4 and 1.5. Supported operating systems include Windows (98 or later), Mac OS X, UNIX (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX), and Linux.
