Overview
Stata is a general purpose statistical analysis software package. It is packed with numerous statistical routines and capabilities, an especially noteworthy feature given its small disk space and RAM requirements. Stata is particularly well known for its handling of clustered, over sampled, and stratified data sets. It also contains newer analytic tools including GEE models for repeated measures and longitudinal analyses of categorical outcomes.
Cost and Eligibility
This product is not distributed by Software Distribution & Sales. However students, faculty, and staff at The University of Texas at Austin may use this product using Windows Terminal Services.
A demonstration version limited in the number of estimated parameters and observations may be downloaded from the vendor's Web site.
