About Tripwire
Tripwire is an intrusion detection and data integrity product that allows you to construct a "baseline" server state representing optimal settings. Tripwire does not prevent breaches, but rather compares current state with desired state to determine if any accidental or deliberate changes have occurred. If changes are detected, they can be rolled back with minimal interruption of services.
Do I have to purchase media and enrollments for every machine that I install Tripwire on?
Every machine that you plan on installing Tripwire software on (Tripwire Manager or Tripwire for Servers) must be enrolled in the annual support/maintenance plan.
You do not have to purchase media for each installation, but you should buy at least one copy of each product for which you are enrolling an installation. At no time should you borrow or copy media from somebody else, and at no time will ITS provide loaner media.
How do I get Tripwire Manager License Files?
When you purchase a Tripwire Manager enrollment under this program, you will receive license files for the hostnames that you provide SDS.
If, at any point you change the hostname of a Tripwire Manager system, or move the Tripwire Manager software to a different system, additional license files can be obtained from SDS.
Will my Tripwire 3.0 license files work under Tripwire 4.0?
Yes. There is no difference in the handling of License Files from Tripwire 3 to 4.
Can I buy just Tripwire Manager if I already have Tripwire for Servers?
Yes. If you are already licensed for Tripwire for Servers, you may purchase Tripwire Manager through this program, as well as additional Tripwire for Servers enrollments. Note, however, that support will not be available to machines running Tripwire for Servers that are not enrolled in this program.
