Where are the messages delivered?

The recipient will receive an e-mail message containing a Web address and instructions on how to view the secure message.

Can a recipient respond to a secure message?

Yes, recipients are provided a reply-to address in the ticket they receive when a secure message is sent to them.

Can more than one person manage secure messages?

Yes, up to five people can track the delivery, edit the expiration date, and resend secure messages.

How does the sender know that the message recipient has viewed the message?

When a recipient accesses a secure message in UT Direct, the message becomes marked as viewed. The sender has the ability to view all the messages they maintain by visiting Secure Message Owner Listing. Here the sender can track the status of each message.

Can a message be deleted once it is sent?

At the Secure Message Owner Listing page, messages can be removed from a recipient’s inbox by modifying the expiration date of a sent message to a past date.
